'One-Story America' ​​is a book of travel essays by Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov about their trip across the United States in 1935–1936. The two Soviet satirists traveled across America by car and created a surprisingly lively, friendly, and observant portrait of the country—from the skyscrapers of New York to the small towns of the Midwest.
