Aleksey Konakov

Alexey Andreyevich Konakov is a literary critic, essayist, and poet.

He was born and lives in St. Petersburg, and works as a hydroelectric engineer. He graduated from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.

As a literary scholar and poet, he has published in the journals Novy Mir, Znamya, Zvezda, Oktyabr, Novoe Literaturnoe Obozrenie, Vozdukh, Translit, Snob, Voprosy Literatury, Volga, Tramvai, Homo Legens, Deti Ra, Den i Noch, and Literatura.

He is a regular contributor to the online publication Colta.ru. He is a member of the Critical Academy of the NOS literary prize. He was a member of the jury for the Razlichie literary prize in 2016. He is the author of the book Vtoraya Vnenaخodimaya. Ocherki neofitsialnoi literatury SSSR.
