Andrey Usachev
Andrey Alekseyevich Usachev is a Russian children's writer, poet and playwright, screenwriter, and radio host.
He studied at the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, and after his fourth year transferred to the Faculty of Philology of Tver State University.
He has been publishing since 1985. Since 1991, he has been a member of the Writers' Union. The author's books have been translated into Hebrew, Ukrainian, Moldovan, Polish, and Serbian. The textbook Fundamentals of Life Safety for grades 1–4, and the books The Declaration of Human Rights and My Geographic Discoveries were recommended for study in schools by the Ministry of Education of Russia.
He worked in television, writing scripts and songs for the program The Quartette of the Merry Company and for the multi-episode feature film Drakosha and Company. For several years, he hosted children's radio programs The Merry Radio Company and The Flying Sofa.
More than 300 books have been published, including reprints.
