Anna Keri
Anna Carey is an Irish author of young adult novels, an independent journalist, and a musician.
She worked as an independent journalist in Dublin, writing for the Irish Times, the Irish Independent, and many other publications.
Anna joined her first musical group when she was fifteen and continued singing and playing with several bands over the next fifteen years. Her last band, El Diablo, released two albums and toured throughout the country.
After ending her music career, Anna became a writer. Her first books were a series of novels featuring a main character named Rebecca. The books are written in the form of collections of diary entries.
Her first novel, Real Rebecca, won the Children’s Book of the Year Award (older category) at the Irish Book Awards ceremony in 2011.
