Antuan Kompanon

Antoine Compagnon (French: Antoine Compagnon; born July 20, 1950, Brussels) is a French literary scholar of Belgian origin and professor at the Collège de France (2006). He was born in Brussels into the family of General Jean Compagnon. A student of Roland Barthes, he has been a professor at Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Sorbonne, and has taught at Oxford. Member of the High Council for Education (2006). Commander of the Order of Academic Palms.
