Aren Vanyan
Aren Vanyan is a writer, literary critic, and researcher.
He has published in journals such as Volga and Znamya, and in media outlets including Gorky, NOZH, Pravila Zhizni, and Prochtenie. He writes thoughtful and passionate texts about literature, mainly about little-known foreign authors or forgotten Russian ones.
Aren Vanyan’s debut novel, Demolition, is a family saga spanning 30 years of Armenia’s history after the collapse of the USSR. It was written in Russian and published by a Russian publishing house. At the time, the writer was living in Moscow.
Today, Aren lives between Yerevan and Dresden. He runs the Telegram channel “Aren and Books.”
