Aylenberger Volfram
Wolfram Eilenberger (born August 7, 1972, in Freiburg im Breisgau) is a German writer, philosopher, and television presenter. In 2008, he earned a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Zurich, having defended a dissertation on Mikhail Bakhtin’s philosophy of culture under the supervision of Michael Hampe. Eilenberger began his journalistic career in 1999 as a columnist on the ethics board of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit and in the sports philosophy column Live from the Ivory Tower in Berlin’s Tagesspiegel. From 2003 to 2010, he worked under editor-in-chief Wolfram Weimer as a philosophy correspondent for the monthly magazine Cicero. From 2011 to 2017, he was editor-in-chief of Philosophie Magazin. Of his own accord, he left the company in 2017 to devote himself primarily to literary projects. Since 2018, he has been part of the moderation team of Sternstunde Philosophie on Swiss television SRF together with Barbara Bleisch and Yves Bossart. Since its founding in 2013, he has also been involved in the program direction of the international philosophy festival phil.cologne together with Svenja Flaßpöhler, Gert Scobel, and Jürgen Wiebicke.
