Barbru Lindgren

Barbru Lindgren

Barbro Lindgren is a Swedish writer.

She studied at the Stockholm University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.

Her first children's book was published in 1965. In total, she has written more than one hundred works that have been translated into thirty languages. They are already considered classics. The writer has illustrated some of her books herself.

Lindgren's творчество is multifaceted, and her books are addressed to different age groups — toddlers, preschoolers, teenagers. In the course of narration, the writer plays with the reader and jokes with them, but the deceptively light language speaks about quite serious issues.

Barbro Lindgren states that “almost all the incredible adventures described in the books really took place in a village near Stockholm with her sons, husband, and father-in-law.”
