Timothée de Fombelle is a young French writer and playwright. At the age of 17, he founded a theatre troupe for which he wrote plays and staged performances himself. One of them, The Lighthouse, written by Timothée at 18, was staged and performed in many countries, including Russia.
His two-volume work Toby Alone — A Handful of Nothing and Caught in the Light — was published in France in 2006–2007 and immediately attracted readers’ attention. It has been translated into 28 languages and became a worldwide bestseller, winning about 20 prestigious French and international literary awards.
