Grigoriy Bondarenko

Grigory Vladimirovich Bondarenko is a Candidate of Historical Sciences, a Celtic scholar, cultural studies specialist, journalist, member of the Russian Writers' Union, researcher at the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Master of Philosophy.

He was born in Moscow in 1974 into the family of the critic V. G. Bondarenko. He graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University (Department of Medieval History) in 1997.

In 2001, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences on the topic “Five Roads in the Ancient Irish Worldview.”

In 2001, he defended his master's thesis on Celtic mythology at the University of Oxford. He works at the University of Ulster.

He has published novellas in the newspapers Den, Zavtra, Den Literatury, and Literaturnaya Rossiya.
