Keyt DiKamillo
American writer Kate DiCamillo was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kate has spent her entire life writing stories for children. The book about a stray dog named Winn-Dixie, which was later adapted into a film, brought the writer worldwide fame. In 2000, the novella received the gold medal of the all-American Parents' Choice Society, as well as the Newbery Medal, awarded for a special contribution to American children's literature.
