Cory Doctorow
Cory Doctorow (English: Cory Doctorow; born July 17, 1971, Toronto) is a Canadian science fiction writer, journalist, blogger, philosopher, and advocate of liberalizing copyright law.
Doctorow was born into a family of Trotskyist-minded teachers. He studied at four universities without graduating from any of them. Since his youth, he has been involved in environmental organizations. In 2000, he received the John W. Campbell Award. He currently works in London, serving as a coordinator for the civil liberties organization the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Cory Doctorow is a supporter of a significant relaxation of intellectual property laws.
On February 3, 2008, Doctorow had a daughter, named Poem Emmeline Fibonacci Nautilus Taylor Doctorow.
He writes short stories, novellas, and novels, posting each of them on the Internet for free access.
