Loran Gunel
Laurent Gounelle is a French writer and personal development specialist.
Laurent was born on August 10, 1966. In 1988, at his parents’ insistence, he received a higher education in economics in Paris, completing postgraduate studies at the Sorbonne, and began working as an accountant in a large company. However, the job did not bring Laurent satisfaction, and he went on to study psychology, philosophy, and sociology at the University of California.
In order to study Eastern teachings and the psychology of shamanism, he traveled to the United States, Finland, and Bali. After that, Laurent became a consultant on human relationships, personal and professional growth, and also taught at the University of Clermont-Ferrand.
Laurent Gounelle wrote his first book, The Man Who Wanted to Be Happy, in 2006, after losing his father. The novel was published in 2008 and became an international bestseller. His second book, God Always Travels Incognito, published in 2010, also became a bestseller. Gounelle’s other works include The Philosopher Who Was Not Wise Enough (2012) and Le jour où j'ai appris à vivre (2014).
