Losos Dzhonatan B.
Jonathan B. Losos is an American biologist, evolutionary biologist, and herpetologist, ecologist, and biodiversity specialist. He holds a PhD and is a professor. He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences. He is editor of *American Naturalist*. He is the author of about 125 scientific articles, including more than a dozen in *Nature* and *Science*. Jonathan Losos studied at Harvard University from 1980 to 1984. He received his PhD in zoology from the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied from 1984 to 1989. He also worked there from 1987, and from 1990 to 1992 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis. From 1992 to 2005, he was at the University of Washington: assistant professor, associate professor from 1997, and professor from 2001. From 2000 to 2003, he was also director of the Tyson Research Center there. Since 2006, he has been the named professor at Harvard University and curator of herpetology at its Museum of Comparative Zoology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2012) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (2005).
