Mark Fisher
Mark Fisher is a pseudonym of the author; his real name is Marc-André Poissant.
One of the most popular writers in North America. He was born on March 13, 1953, in Montreal. He studied philosophy and literature at the University of Montreal from 1972 to 1974, and from 1974 to 1978 he was a yoga teacher, after which he became the director of the literary division of Quebecor Publishing. An expert in philosophy and literature, a lover of golf, yoga, and meditation, he has devoted himself entirely to literature for many years. Marc-Henri is the author of novels, essays, and screenplays. He publishes some of his books under the pseudonym Marc Fisher. The total circulation of his novel The Millionaire (Le millionnaire paresseux, 1997), translated into twenty-five languages, has by now surpassed one and a half million copies.
