Maslov-Ostrovich Yuriy

Yury Vasilyevich Maslov was born in the city of Ostrov, Pskov Oblast (hence the pseudonym Ostrovich). He lives in Yaroslavl. By his first education, he is a biologist; by his second, a film director. He worked in television, making ecological and popular science TV films. He has been a laureate and diploma winner of the journalism competitions “Ecology of Russia,” “Save and Preserve,” and others. He has also been a laureate of the literary competitions named after P. P. Yershov and “Golden Pen of Rus.” He is the author of books about nature and folk traditions in the educational series “Library of a Yaroslavl Family.”
