Meg Jay
Dr. Meg Jay is an American psychologist. She is a clinical psychology lecturer at the University of Virginia. She maintains a private practice in Charlottesville.
Dr. Jay received her doctorate in clinical psychology and gender studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
Meg studies the development of young adults between the ages of twenty and thirty. At Berkeley, she worked on one of the longest-running studies of the stages of growth and development experienced by the female body.
Her research on women, depression, and gender differences was conducted at the request of the National Institute of Mental Health. The results were published in the journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Meg Jay's work has been published in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Forbes, Psychology Today, and NPR.
She is the author of the bestseller The Defining Decade. Dr. Meg Jay is convinced that the time between the ages of twenty and thirty can be called the most important decade of one's life. The decisions made during this time determine the rest of a person's life.
