Mireille Gansel
Mireille Gagné is a Canadian writer, poet, and chronicler. She was born in 1982 in the town of L’Île-aux-Grues in Quebec. She graduated from the University of Sherbrooke, where she studied communications, editing, and multimedia. It was there that she took her first steps in literature, beginning to write poetry and short stories.
In 2005, Gagné received the Prix du jeune écrivain de langue française, awarded to emerging French-language women writers, which enabled her to take part in a creative workshop in the French town of Muret. After completing her studies in Sherbrooke, she also completed creative writing courses at Laval University, after which she began working professionally in the field of culture and communications in Quebec.
