Montag Kristian

Christian Montag is a German psychologist, professor, and Doctor of Science. He works at Ulm University in Germany and is a visiting professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in Chengdu. His academic interests include personality psychology, neuroeconomics, and psychoinformatics. He is the author of more than 10 books and many scientific publications.

From 1998 to 2000, Montag trained as a bank clerk at Dresdner Bank (now Commerzbank). He then worked as a freelance web designer and assistant technical editor at RTL New Media. His first website was created in the 1990s. At the age of 24, he began studying psychology and in 2009 defended his doctoral dissertation on the psychobiological foundations of fear and anxiety; in 2011 he received his habilitation at the University of Bonn. There he also received the Venia Legendi in the subject of psychology.
