Nina Berton
Since 1994, Burton has been a member of the prestigious Swedish Samfundet De Nio (The Nine Society). Founded in Stockholm in 1913 in accordance with the will of writer Lotten von Kræmer, the society consists of nine members elected for life, and its purpose is to promote Swedish literature and dialogue on women’s issues.
In addition to her membership in The Nine Society, Burton also served as guest poet at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm in 1996–1997.
