Oleg Ivik
Oleg Ivik is the joint pseudonym of the Russian writers Olga Kolobova and Valery Ivanov.
Olga Kolobova is a journalist by one of her two higher-education degrees. For several years she worked as a literary editor for the journal Don Archeology and edited archaeological collections. She enjoys mountain tourism and extreme rafting on mountain rivers.
Valery Ivanov is a programmer by his first education, and received his second degree at the faculty of history, specializing in archaeology. He is interested in military history of the pre-gunpowder era.
Both authors regularly take part in archaeological expeditions.
Oleg Ivik, a tandem of a journalist and an archaeologist, is a popularizer of historical scholarship and the author of a number of books on history, cultural studies, and archaeology. Literary works written by one of the coauthors are published under the same joint pseudonym.
