Raquel Jaramillo Palacio, who publishes under the initials R. J. Palacio, is an American writer and graphic designer, the daughter of parents of Colombian origin.
For more than 20 years, she worked as an art director, graphic designer, and book cover designer.
R. J. Palacio lives in New York with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
