Selesta Ing

Celeste Ng is an American writer.

She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Celeste’s parents are immigrants from China (Hong Kong) who came to the United States in the late 1960s. Her father is a physicist by training and worked at NASA, and her mother taught chemistry at Cleveland State University.

Celeste Ng studied at Harvard University and the University of Michigan, where she received a Master of Fine Arts degree in writing.

Celeste Ng has written several short stories published in various magazines and awarded literary prizes. Her first novel, Everything I Never Told You, was published in 2014.

The writer currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband and son.
