Sergey Yastrebov

Sergey Aleksandrovich Yastrebov is a science fiction writer, science journalist, and biologist. His areas of interest include the comparative anatomy of vertebrates and evolutionary biology. He is the author of two books and has published more than 60 articles on the Elementy website, in the journals Khimiya i Zhizn and Just Brain, and in other publications.

In 1999, Sergey Yastrebov graduated with honors from the Faculty of Biology of Moscow State University, specializing in vertebrate zoology. He taught in Moscow schools, at Moscow State University, and at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and since 2012 he has worked as a tutor. He heads the biology division of the All-Russian Summer Environmental School and teaches at the Intellektual School. He runs a science blog devoted entirely to evolutionary biology, caenogenesis.livejournal.com.
