Tamara Eidelman

Tamara Natanovna Eidelman is a hereditary historian (her father was the well-known historian and writer Natan Yakovlevich Eidelman). She graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University. For more than 30 years she has taught history in Moscow schools. She writes articles on issues of history and pedagogy.

She was the coordinator of international educational projects held under the auspices of the European Association of History Educators — EUROCLIO. The projects were called “Lessons of Clio” and “Mosaic of Cultures.” Their participants developed innovative history textbooks and conducted training sessions for teachers throughout Russia. She is a member of the board of the Moscow Association of History Teachers.

At various times she hosted different programs on the radio stations Mayak, Voice of Russia, and Radio Rossii-Kultura — they were called “Subjunctive Mood,” “The Fate of Books,” and “Books of Our Childhood.”
