Teylor Endryu
Andrew Taylor is a British author. He publishes crime detective novels, psychological thrillers, and children’s books, including historical ones.

Born in 1951, Andrew Taylor has held many jobs, including laborer, shipbuilder, payroll clerk, publishing employee, and librarian.
Andrew Taylor grew up in East Anglia. He was educated at The King’s School, Ely, and Woodbridge School. Taylor studied English at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and then received an MA in library and archive studies and information science from the University of London.
Andrew Taylor’s debut detective novel, Caroline Minuscule (1982), won the John Creasey Award. Detective William Dougal became the recurring hero of Taylor’s works.
Taylor is one of the most widely read English writers. A study conducted in the late 1990s showed that the number of readers of his books in English libraries exceeded one percent of the total number of readers. Taylor’s popularity increased after several radio dramas based on his books were broadcast by the BBC. Andrew’s novels The Office of Death and The American Boy won the Ellis Peters Historical Dagger Award from the Crime Writers’ Association of Great Britain.
He lives with his wife and two children in Coleford, on the border between England and Wales.
