Susan Woodford grew up and was educated in the United States, earning her doctorates at Harvard and Columbia Universities. Since 1971 she has lived in England with her husband and daughter and has taught the history of art at the British Museum. Among her publications are popular and scholarly works on art, one of which is Images of Myths in Classical Antiquity.
