Yael Adler

Yael Adler is a Doctor of Medicine and a practicing physician, a well-known dermatologist from Germany. She is the author of several scholarly works, as well as the popular science books What Skin Hides and The Immoral Man.

Yael Adler was born on July 17, 1973, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She grew up in an educated family: her grandfather was a dermatologist, her father a theologian, and her mother a literary critic. Adler studied medicine in Frankfurt am Main and in Berlin, and received her doctorate in 1999. She studied dermatology and venereology, as well as phlebology (vein diseases).

Since 2003, Yael Adler has appeared as a health expert on television and in the print media. Since 2007, she has been in private practice at a medical center. She is a member of various medical societies. In autumn 2016, her book What Skin Hides was published; it became a bestseller and was translated into 25 languages.
