Janne Teller

Janne Teller was born in Copenhagen, into an Austrian-German family. She currently lives in Berlin and New York. She worked as a macroeconomics consultant for European organizations. Since 1995, she has been a professional writer.

Worldwide fame came to Janne Teller after the publication of the novel Intet (“Nothing”), in which she offers a rather stark depiction of the morals of modern teenagers. The book sparked lively debates about young adult literature and about the upbringing of teenagers in general.

In her subsequent books, the author continues to explore the interaction of good and evil, the dark and the light within a person.
