Yulia Kuznetsova is a writer, translator, and editor of the online magazine Yellow Caterpillar, as well as one of the contributors to the journal on children’s literature Perelplyot. Yulia writes with equal interest and enthusiasm both fairy tales for young children and detective stories, novels, adventure and psychological novellas, and stories for children and teenagers.

Her father is the writer Nikita Kuznetsov, who writes under the pseudonym Nikita Marzan and is the author of psychological and humorous prose. Yulia Kuznetsova wrote her first story, “On Hatred,” at the age of 16. While studying in the philology department of Moscow State University, she wrote two textbooks on the English language, which were successfully published. She worked as a teacher at the Lana Center for Personal Development. Her favorite genre is the psychological novella. She is not afraid to address serious and important topics in her books in language that is understandable to today’s children and teenagers. In her works, the writer explores serious themes. For example, The Imaginary Little Bug is a collection of stories about hospital life for children and their parents, with its joys and sorrows; the novella Angel’s Assistant is about friendship, love, kindness, and compassion.
