Yulia Shcherbinina

Yulia Vladimirovna Shcherbinina is a well-known Russian philologist, a specialist in book studies and communicative disciplines (speech studies, rhetoric, discourse studies), and a researcher and popularizer of book culture. She holds a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences degree and is a professor at Moscow Pedagogical State University (MPGU). She is the author of 2 monographs, 9 popular science books, 10 textbooks and teaching manuals, and more than 500 articles in scholarly and literary journals.

She graduated from the Faculty of Philology at MPGU. In 2001, she defended her Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences dissertation, “Verbal Aggression in the School Speech Environment.” In 2010, she defended her Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences dissertation, “Harmonization of Pedagogical Discourse.”
