Yuliya Shlyapnikova

The author was born and raised in Tatarstan, in the small town of Chistopol. Since the age of eighteen, she has lived in Kazan and works in HR. By education, she is a psychologist; at one time she planned to make a career in that field, but it did not work out, and now she applies her knowledge in her books.

At the age of ten, she wrote her first story. It seems it was about an unusual girl with abilities, inspired by anime. After that, strong and in some ways unusual heroines became an important feature of every new story.

She mainly writes fantasy and magical realism. The author likes the Tatarstan local color, the blending of different nationalities, worldviews, and mythologies in one place. In her stories, the most unexpected details are mixed, fused into one, and become inseparable.
