Agustina Bazterrica
Agustina Bazterrica is an Argentine writer.
Born in 1974, she graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a bachelor’s degree in art history. She is a central figure on the country’s literary scene and participates in creative meetings.
She is the winner of the First Prize of the Municipal Government of the City of Buenos Aires and the winner of the 37th Latin American Short Story Contest “Edmundo Valadés.”
In addition to writing, Bazterrica also works as a cultural project manager and takes part in organizing and running the art series “Follow the White Rabbit,” which brings together exhibitions by contemporary artists, musical evenings, and thematic discussions with experts in the field of art.
The novel Tender Is the Flesh was first published in Argentina in December 2017 and has since been translated into 10 languages. A television series based on the book is planned.
