Thirteen-year-old Samantha decides to start over. The first thing she needs to do is change her name: she's now S.J. Then she needs to find friends: the new city seems perfect. And finally, she needs to keep her secret. To do this, she must avoid making the same mistakes as before and be more careful. Friends appear quickly: helpful Olivia, ready to introduce Samantha to the city; friendly Sam (almost her namesake!), who's clearly taken a liking to the new girl; Heidi and Mali, the school's beauties and true stars.
