Journalist Rika is inspired to write a series of articles about Manako Kajiya, a woman suspected of extorting and murdering her own admirers. She surrounded the men with care and love, fed them homemade meals, lived off their money... and then they died. But the public is surprised not so much by the crimes themselves as by the killer's appearance: her plumpness is completely at odds with the image of a femme fatale. The journalist wants to discover Kajiya's secret, why men loved her, and where does she get her self-confidence? To get closer to the mysterious criminal, Rika asks her for the recipe for the beef stew that one of the murdered men ate just before his death. In response, the woman demands that Rika start cooking too. Trying to gain Manako's trust, the journalist fails to notice how she herself is caught in a web of manipulation and lies, gradually losing control of her own life...
