Convenience Store Woman (Chelovek-Kombini)

Keiko Furukura has been working part-time at a konbini, a Japanese convenience store, for eighteen years. She's withdrawn and unlike her peers: she lives alone, doesn't date, and has no desire to start a family or find a permanent job. Her entire life revolves around the konbini's routine, where she knows every product and every shelf by heart. However, Keiko seems strange to those around her. She's constantly receiving sideways glances and constantly hears from her friends, 'Now you'll find yourself a man...' But one day, a new employee arrives at the konbini, who, by chance, turns Keiko's life upside down...
