The Velvet Kibitka (Barkhatnaya Kibitka)

'The Velvet Wagon' is a new novel by Pavel Pepperstein that explores the phenomenon of childhood. A cento-novel containing fragments from numerous works written by Pavel in his early youth.

The novel is a memoir of his childhood, particularly the time the writer spent at the Peredelkino House of Creativity, where he visited with his mother, the renowned Soviet children's writer Irina Pivovarova.
