Gipi
GiPi (Gianni-Alfonso Pacinotti; b. 1963) was born in Pisa. His graphic novels have won numerous awards, including prizes at comic festivals in Angoulême, Lucca, and Erlangen. His 2013 work One Story was the first graphic novel ever to be included on the shortlist for Italy’s major literary prize, the Strega Prize, sparking heated debate about the boundaries of literature.
