Mikita Franko

Mikita Franko is a young Russian-language writer. He maintained a private blog on VKontakte, the posts from which later formed his debut book, *The Days of Our Lives*. The plot is based on the story of a child growing up in a same-sex family.

“Many people expect me to dispel someone’s stereotypes, to be able to convince homophobes, save children from orphanages, change society, and turn Russian queer literature upside down, but if you ask me, I never intended to do any of that. My job is simply to write; the rest, if it happens, is a side effect,” says the writer himself.
