Windows to the Courtyard (Okna vo Dvor)

The book is a sequel to Days of Our Lives and follows Mickey as he moves to Vancouver with his parents and younger brother. This unusual family fits seamlessly into Canadian society, but only superficially: the parents' relationship begins to rapidly unravel in their new country, and a tragedy that could have brought the couple closer together drives them further apart. Meanwhile, Mickey, fleeing old problems, faces new ones: violence, fear, misunderstanding, and addiction.
