Stanley Tucci is an American actor, producer, and director, born on April 11, 1960, in Peoria, Illinois. He grew up in a family of Italian immigrants: his father was Italian, and his mother was Italian and Swiss. Tucci began his acting career in theater and later became known for his roles in film and television. His breakthrough in film came with his role in LA Confidential (1997), after which he appeared in such films as The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Buried (2010), and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011).

In addition to acting, Tucci is also known for his writing. In 2012, he released the cookbook The Tucci Cookbook, which brings together recipes and personal stories connected to his Italian roots and family traditions. In 2020, he published another cookbook, Taste: My Life Through Food, in which he shares memories of his life and career, as well as his passion for cooking.

Stanley Tucci also directed the documentary series Tucci: Searching for Italy, in which he explores Italian cuisine and culture. He has been married twice and has three children. In 2009, Tucci lost his first wife, Kate, to cancer, and later married Felicity Blunt in 2012. For his work, he has received numerous awards, including an Emmy Award and several Golden Globe nominations. Stanley Tucci continues to work actively in film and theater, remaining one of the most respected figures in the entertainment and culinary worlds.
