Vseslav Gavrilovich Goretsky was a Russian and Soviet philologist, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor. Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education. Editor-in-chief of the journal Nachalnaya Shkola (“Primary School”). Author of the best-known textbooks and teaching aids for primary school.
