Yankaporta Tayson
Tyson Yunkaporta is an art critic and researcher, a member of the Apalech clan in far northern Queensland. He founded the Indigenous Knowledge Systems Lab at Deakin University in Melbourne. His work focuses on applying Indigenous research methods to address complex issues and study global crises. He carves traditional tools and weapons, and also works as a senior lecturer in Indigenous Knowledge at Deakin University in Melbourne.
