Zgardoli Gvido
Guido Sgardoli is an Italian writer.
From an early age, the future writer developed a passion for writing, drawing, and animation.
He received a higher education in veterinary medicine at the University of Bologna.
He made his debut in children's literature in 2004, publishing a series of short stories in magazines and anthologies. Today, Guido Sgardoli is published by major Italian publishing houses. He is the author of dozens of books for adults and children and the recipient of numerous awards. The novel The Island of the Silent Ones received the Andersen Prize in the category “Best Book for Readers Aged 15 and Up” and was included by the International Youth Library in Munich in the list of outstanding children's books of the world, “White Ravens.”
His works have been translated into twelve languages and adapted for the stage. He collaborates with national magazines and newspapers, writing articles and stories.
The writer lives in the city of Treviso.
