She lives at the Hardwick Orphanage, where Miss Gadkins, a monstrous woman, rules and forces her to scrub toilets with a toothbrush. But one day, Molly discovers a mysterious, ancient book on hypnotism, and her life changes overnight. Molly discovers an amazing ability—to make people do whatever she wants. When her best friend is adopted, Molly uses her powers to escape the orphanage after him. But a sinister stranger stands in Molly's way.
