Christmas Tree Yulka (Yolka Yulka)

Yulka the Christmas tree was born in a nursery on the edge of a highway. The fir trees there grow so close together that their branches almost touch. They look up to the sky and dream of growing to be the tallest, the most slender, so they can be built in some furniture factory. But Yulka the Christmas tree dreamed of lights and fireworks. She dreamed of her branches bending under the weight of baubles and garlands, and of a huge star shining at the top. Yulka wanted to become a New Year's tree.
