Mikhael Ende
Michael Ende was a German writer.
He was born in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, into the family of the painter and sculptor Edgar Karl Ende and the physiotherapist Louise Ende. The event took place at 5:15 a.m. by caesarean section. The family lived in poverty, as few people bought Edgar’s paintings. Art critics described these paintings as “semi-surrealism.” In 1931 the family moved to Obermenzing near Munich. Edgar associated the Munich Art Center with his future breakthrough as an artist and with escape from poverty, which was only worsened by the crisis in the world economy.…
