'Life on Borrow' is about the life heroes wrest from death. When there's nothing left to lose, when one stands on the brink of death, never having known this life, while for another, this damned life has become unbearable.

And as always with Remarque, only love and friendship remain unshakable. Only in them can one find a foothold.

A film starring the legendary Al Pacino was made based on the novel 'Life on Borrow.'
