Perveen Mistry has just joined her father's law firm, becoming one of the first female lawyers in India. Mistry's law firm must fulfill the will of Mr. Omar Farid, a wealthy businessman who is survived by three widows. While reviewing the documents, Perveen notices something strange: all three wives have donated their inheritance to charity. Moreover, one of the widows signed the documents with a cross, indicating that she probably can't even read. Perveen investigates and realizes her suspicions were correct: the inheritance case suddenly escalates into a murder case. Now she must find out what really happened on Malabar Hill...
