Lovers in Auschwitz: A True Story (Osventsim)

'This work is not fiction, as it is based on a substantial body of interviews, oral testimony, documents, and published and unpublished memoirs. During my research, I had the opportunity to repeatedly interview the protagonist of my story, former Auschwitz prisoner David Wisnia, from early 2018 until his death in 2021. Unfortunately, I did not live to see the main character, Helen 'Zippi' Tichauer (also a former Auschwitz prisoner). But she left behind dozens of testimonies, and most importantly, a recently discovered manuscript of memoirs.' Keren Blankfeld
